I had started reading this book in 7th grade and had put it down. Too morbid, I said. Just not for me. Two years later, I have just finished the book, not being able to put it down for two days. This book had me mesmerized, totally and completely. I felt with the characters and at certain times in the book, I felt like I was not just reading the book, I was IN the book.
