  “Good and fast. Jack from Edge of Town is beat up on his way home from baseball tryouts and falls in with bootleggers—helps watch out for the father’s daughter after she fixed him up. Sheriff Corbin from Edge of Town finds Jack and he falls in love with bootlegger’s daughter ( Annabel ). Father tried getting out of the business but mobsters from Chicago double-crossed him. Also, the Carter family of hillbillies added an interesting dimension to the book. Tess Carter married Boone who worked for Annabell’s father and watched out for her when he was away. --Karen Arlettaz Zemek, author of "My Funny Dad, Harry" ”
