“This is a great "fantastical-mystery" type read. The attempt at an adaptation with Depp was HORIFIC. I think of all Perez-Reverte's historical mysteries, this is the most gripping. I think the characters are the deepest of all his books, and having also read it in Spanish, this is probably the best translated of his books. In all its a great summer time read for those that like a little more intelligent of a mystery.”
