“Really enjoyed reading all of the "Wallflower" books. Not a lot of thought necessary, but relaxing. :)”

It's a good flow for an easy read and make your hearts go aflutter. Sweet! ”

Yes | No“There are some things in this world that bring me simple joy; a half nekkid man serving me drinks, a new Romance novel that makes you weep when you finish it, flip it over and start all over again, the sight of Daniel Craig rising from the water half nekkid, and shopping in a semi-empty mall on a weekday, just to name a few. Oh yes and rediscovering a forgotten love for an old Romance novel you read many moons ago makes the list as well (especially when you’ve had a sudden run of bad Romance novels as I have). I resolved this long Easter weekend to restructure my Romance bookshelf and this restructuring and reorganizing led me to Lisa Kleypas’s brilliant book, “Secrets of a Summer Night”, the first book in her historical “Wallflower” series.

“I picked up the third book in this series this summer. I liked it enough to go back and look for the first volume. Much of the 'wallflower" subplot instantly became clearer with this book.
I liked the relationship between Annabelle and Simon. Annabelle is a bit of a prig and social climber in the beginning, but she learns her lessons, especially about Simon Hunt very quickly.
Kleypas turns phrases well, obviously has studied her history and makes delightful heroes and heroines. I will find the other two volumes in this series sooner rather than later.”
“Excellent story part of the Wallflower series by Lisa Kleypas so far the best!”
