This is one of the essential books of my life. A lot of knowing here. It's necessary to read it more than once.

This golem comes alive and heads towards the 2nd world war, this monster has no bearing but has depth in understanding but style is tired and repetitive - reminds Fah Lo Suee of Kafka on bad day.

I've just read this book and it really got me. i don't know if Meyrink is fashionable right now or not, but you should read it! it's based on all these legends and tales from long ago. it has just the right atmosphere and words when depicting life in Prague ghetto. A must read!
