- Jenna: 35-year-old heroine, obsessed with her teenage idol Tommy Seer.
- Tommy Seer: Jenna's teen idol, lead singer in the band Wild Boys in the 80's. Mysteriously died in a car accident in October 1987.
- Aunt Jen: The only person ever to have shared and encouraged Jenna's obsession with the 80's and The Wild Boys. She is 'favourite Aunt Jen'.
- Ken Dollimore: Jenna's boss in 1989. She is his 'protegee', but feels uncomfortable when he keeps invading her personal space.
