This was a very interesting view on the race situation in the Bay Area 30-40 years ago. I learned alot about the place that I live and was very surprised. I guess they DON'T teach you everything in school. The book shows life from the eyes of a man who, to some, is not considered a "genuine" black man. Overall, a very good book.
