The only problem I had with this book was I practically highlighted every sentence on my Kindle. The entire story from start to finish is beyond impressive and most definitely entertaining.
Frankly, I'll not be able to give this title the review it deserves. I lack the eloquence but know this... The Commander And The Den Asaan Rautu ROCKED.
Back in July, Author Michelle Franklin shared an excerpt here and I immediately fell in love with the characters, story, scenery, setting, and Michelle's writing. See the Excerpt here. Rautu's a giant who is so much fun to taunt and he makes it so easy. The Commander, Boudicca, is just the person to poke at Rautu's buttons. They share a relationship that starts off with earning the respect of each other on the battle field. As the story continues that relationship progresses into a splendor to read.
Characters, storyline, scenery, setting, and Michelle's writing all are equally commendable and easily play off one another to create this fascinating fantasy romance. Michelle's writing style is sophisticated and well versed that I can imagine events occurring just as she wrote it. It's a pure flow of words creating a movie in my mind. Amazing.
Hands down, Michelle Franklin's work is one of a kind and the characters she has penned to life are equally so. There is not much more I want to say about the story itself because it's one of those best read for yourself. I would recommend The Commander And The Den Asaan Rautu and the complete works within this series to any reader. The content is prime and ripe for the picking. This Fantasy Romance has enough of a mystic feel to entice and satisfy any paranormal, urban fantasy, romance reader. ”
