Katie Fforde's sweet little books -- invariably about creative and underemployed young women wooed by determined and aristocratic young men -- seem to come out as regularly as clockwork now, but the more recent release lack the quirky charm and suspense of the old orange Penguins. This novel, which appeared in the U.S., unfortuantel enough, as Bidding for Love, centers around Flora Stanza, heiress to a provincial auction house coincident with Antiques Roadshow fever.
