“A historical novel about the daughter of a plantation owner, and the slave nurse who raised her, this novel is thoughtfully written, and well researched as to the times. Although the story line and characters are fictional, the events in the book are very believable, with the exception of one event. But even this event, which seems too coincidental, would not necessarily be an impossibility. ”
