Stir It Up! Is the story of a Trinidadian-American teen living in Queens, NY who works in parents roti shop, attends cooking classes, collects cookbooks and is a dedicated Food Network viewer. She is a passionate foodie (as many of her generation are) and her dream is to be the youngest ever host on the Food Network. She gets a shot of realizing her dream of becoming a TV chef, when she submits a video of her own special recipe and is selected to compete a kids’ cooking competition on Food Network. But Anjali's parents are not so supportive of her dreams and she has to go behind their back to go to the tryout--which she does with the help of her best friend Linc.

What happens next is delicious, dramatic and delightful.
