A great storyline, beautifully written, with richly developed characters, brisk pacing, atmospheric settings, sometimes dark and intense, sometimes funny. Teen vernacular fits the narrative perfectly. A must read for all who enjoy quirky stories in this genre. 3+stars...”
My sister has this book and it looked pretty interesting to me, but she said she didn't like it. I think she said she expected it to be creepy but it wasn't.
Conner, I would call it more dark than creepy!
Dave, I loved this book! I think he had the kids dead on, so to speak. Did you think that the switch to full scifi was a little abrupt? I liked the magical realism of the beginning, then it did the "worm hole" type thing that I thought could have been a little more imaginative.
Sorry! Bit of a spoiler above!
