If you read the last book you would know Cat has aquired a new talent, and with this talent new problems arise. This problem comes in the form of a ghost, and not a nice one at that. Unfortunately for me, this book was a little stale. Yes, it...” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Another great book in the series. The storyline wasn't my favorite, but it was still really good. I loved having Denise and Spade helping in this book. I like the introduction of Tyler and now Fabian has Elisabeth! I love that he has someone now. Cat was kickass as she always is, even being set on fire in this one! They didn't really resolve the issues with Madagin or Don, I am assuming that will be in the next book. ”

All Cat wants is a little down time after all the fighting and ghouls that keep coming up. Unfortunately a little encounter with Mary Laveau has changed all those plans. Everything is changing around her. Even Don who, lets just say is much different in this book then he was in the previous book (I don't want to spoil too much) The big conflict in One Grave at a Time is Heinrich Kramer who was a witch hunter. He comes back to human form every All Hallows Eve just to torture and humiliate women. Cat and Bones are going to track him down and try to figure out how to kill a ghost. Of course there is going to be someone who is trying to get in-between Cat and her mission...Jason Madigan. Madigan and Uncle Don have some past and it looks like he's coming back to make a big statement and he's using his in's with their government agent to make Cat and Bone's life just a little bit more complicated.
What did I think of the book?
Amazing. Jeaniene Frost is always coming up with a new character that you love to hate like Jason Madigan. Most of the time I find myself almost yelling at the books I'm reading by Jeaniene Frost because you find yourself so involved in her writing. I mean Heinrich Kramer made me so upset that I couldn't put the book down until early early in the morning just so I could find out what his outcome is. Jeaniene's books always have me hooked. I am always reading along rooting for Cat and Bones in my mind, "Get him Cat, get him!" ”

Cat can now see ghosts and they are drawn to her because she was made to drink the blood of the Queen.
Needless to say this is a major annoyance for both of them. Problems still exist with Cat's old unit. Now that her Uncle is dead the new director is really making life difficutl for the agents.
In addition Cat's attraction for ghosts has brought her in contact with the ghost of an old witch hunter who is growing more powerful each year. She is contacted by Elizabeth a ghost who was put to death by the witchhunter. Elizabeth is out to destroy her nemesis and asks Cat and Bones for help.
An interesting addition to the tales of Cat and Bones, but a little thin on the story line. However, still a good read.”
“Love Cat and Bones! The pair is tasked to capture a ghost that is able to become a physical body on Halloween and murder three women. Love the interaction between characters! New additon is a medium, Tyler, who I hope will appear in future books. 4.5 stars ”

The forces of ghosts try to break them, torture and kill. Love and belief in each other always works for them. Too bad they aren't the only ones involved, snoopy government jerks, crazy dead folks and screaming women interfere . Not as intense as previous books in the series for me. A nice easy continuation of the series.”

Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter who killed Elisabeth and dozens more. Now every Halloween, he takes physical form to torture three innocent women before burning them alive. Cat and Bones are determined to send this ghost away forever...if they can just figure out how to kill someone that is already dead.
This was an interesting installment in Frost's Night Huntress series. We get to see Cat and Bones loving relationship. There is no angst or secrets in this book. Instead we get to see the trust between them.
I liked the plot of this book and couldn't figure out how they would stop Kramer from killing again. There wasn't as much snarky humor like the previous books, but I did love the addition of Tyler, a medium who is helping them contact Kramer. My rating: 5 Stars.”
“Fantastic read”
