The music is sung in this horrible, juvenile mock-opera style and is off-key way too often. Unfortunately, it's hard to skip/skim past the worst parts in the audiobook format, and there are a lot of parts I wished I could...” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Very good and sad book!”

She can throw her voice so it seems to come from anywhere. But singing is only one of the two qualities prized in the kingdom of Ayortha. Aza doesn't possess the other: beauty. She's hidden in the shadows in her parent's inn, but when she becomes a lady-in-waiting to the new queen, she has to step into the light. Especially when the queen demands a dangerous favor. A magic mirror, a charming prince, a jealous queen, palace intrigue, and an injured king go into a maze that Aza must penetrate to save herself and her beloved kingdom.”

Aza is not a beauty but she does have a hiden talent, her voice. With it she can just about do anything with it, throw it, to just sing, she can even make it sound like someone else is talking. Drawn to the castle by a duchess at the inn her parents own, and thats where her adventures begin.
This book is for any fantasy lover. this book was so amazing I almost never stoped reading it!”
“Aza rules! She is like Snow White mix The giant! Great Book!@”

two of the characters in the book are Aza's parents. They are kind people and are willing to do much for other people and get nothing in return. An example of their kind heartedness is Aza is not their daughter. a customer had stayed in their in and then left Aza in her room. Aza's parents never came back for her so they decided to become her parents and treated her like their own. they never cared that she wasnt beautiful they just cared that she had a home and a family. ”
“I different look at the story of Snow White. I liked the moral of this story and most of the book. ”

It was so sad though! The horrible queen and Aza's horrible looks and horrible Skulni. But theres also a lot of beautiful things in there, like love and music. I thought the whole "throw your voice" thing was totally awesome. Imagine how fun that would be? I would get a serious laugh outta that....”
