“I highly recommend it to you. It is written by Alice Ozma (really the middle names given to her by her school librarian father and taken from literature). It is the story of their lives as she grew up. Their personal story revolves around The story revolves around a girl and her father and The Streak--what started as a an attempt to read aloud every night for 100 nights and which ended up lasting 9 years. Lots of books we all love are included in the narrative and it ends with a view of what is happening in some districts as the emphasis on computers grows. It appeals to the child, parent, and teacher in each of us.”
