Am reading this aloud to my 6 year-old son, who is in kindergarten. Four siblings spending the summer at a farmhouse talk mom into letting them live on an island in the middle of the lake. Adventure ensues!     This was a favorite of mine when I was a kid, and I still love to read it. It may freak out some modern parents, the kids row boats, start cooking fires, and camp out alone! But, it's splendid fun in a simpler time.
