Yes | No“I love everything I have read that Steinbeck wrote, and I think he defines the American experience as well as or better than any other American author, ever. But, while everyone's eyes are on the Grapes of Wrath (which is great, to be sure), I find this quick little novel more readily accessible (especially for younger readers, which I was when I first read it) and more immediately moving. One of the great classics that is utterly worthy of having earned its place in the canon. ”
