This novel, maybe more than any other I've read, shows how important friendship is in a world that can be cruel and unfair. Lenny and George, even Candy, Crooks and Curley's wife all are very sad characters who are searching for a way to connect with other people. My only problem with the book is the way Curley's wife is treated, as a plot device, never even given a name. ...”

Didn’t Like It
“Of all the books I know, I think this is the one that generates the fewest conversations (ie, practically none) relative to the amount of people who have read it (almost everyone). Accordingly, I have nothing else to say about it.”
