Characters/People edit see section history

  • Faye McCarron: Faye’s determination and uncanny ability to get to the bottom of things make her one of the most valuable contributors to high school newspaper The Miller – she not only writes stories but takes a lot of the photographs as well. Her mum died when she was little and ever since Faye has lived with her Aunt Pam who owns the only bookstore in Winter Mill. Her dad is an archaeologist and travels most of the year.Faye worries a lot about the people around her and often feels responsible for them. She admires her best friend Liz’s great fashion sense and occasionally lets her pick new outfits.Faye’s heart always skips a beat whenever she sees Finn. And even though Lucas often annoys her Faye is increasingly taken with his efforts to charm her.
  • Liz: Add a description of this character.
  • Liz Wilson: Liz is like a sister to Faye and one of Winter Mill High’s most energetic students – even though her favourite subject is socializing 101, she still manages to do well in school.Liz is very close to her dad, a Sergeant in the Winter Mill Police Department, and her older sister Poppy who is already at university.Liz is outgoing, bubbly and friends with everyone. She enjoys blogging about fashion, boys and shopping in her spare time. She is always up to date with the latest trends and never leaves the house without making sure her make-up is perfect. She falls for Lucas the second he shows up in town and tries anything to get closer to him.
  • Finn
  • Lucas Morrow: Lucas is new to Winter Mill and his mother is the rich and exceptionally beautiful socialite Mercy Morrow. He isn’t very close to his mother and never got to know his real dad, so Lucas often feels lonely and misunderstood. Most people like him only because of his status - generally this bores him but he is willing to check out the scene for amusement.Lucas has travelled the world and lived in many different cities but never really gets the chance to settle into one place before his mother decides to move again. Wherever they go he tends to spend most of his time alone in his room, either listening to music or playing the guitar. He often feels disconnected from teenage life but his outlook changes dramatically when Faye steps into his life.
  • Jimmy
  • Finn Crowley: Finn is new to the town and has spent most of his life on the road. He is a member of The Black Dogs, a biker gang led by his dad. Finn enjoys riding his motorbike when the moon is out and has a remarkable talent for fixing anything that is broken. Finn is a quiet and thoughtful person but once provoked he is quick to lose his temper and finds it hard to control himself.Finn has been home schooled but is thinking about enrolling at Winter Mill this year so he can finally meet some people his own age.He feels a strong connection with Faye and hates the fact that she spends more and more time with Lucas.
  • Jimmy Paulson: Jimmy is a bit socially awkward but he is well liked and incredibly smart. He takes part in a lot of school activities like: Mathletes, Yearbook, Science Club, Chess Club, Theatre Club, Literary Club, and of course The Miller.Jimmy really enjoys listening to people and solving problems. He often teams up with Faye to investigate strange occurrences and potential headlines in and around Winter Mill.He has had a major crush on Liz for the last year and it pains him to watch her pursue Lucas.
