“Katie's assignment is to protect a science professor and investigate the threats on his life. When she's late to meet the professor, she meets Mac and does something completely out of character -- has a one-night stand. Mac totally rocks her world and while she doesn't regret the experience, she knows she has to focus on her assignment. She finally meets the professor she must guard and discovers Dr. Macon Douglas is Mac, her one-night stand.
Mac wants to continue what they've started, but Katie is all about the job and she just broke the cardinal rule -- never sleep with a client. Mac is very persuasive and Katie takes the chance to enjoy a wild fling with him. But can this tough woman risk trusting and loving Mac?
I think the female bodyguard storylines are always sexy. She Who Dares, Wins by Candace Havens has a strong mystery mingled in with the hot romance.
