- Mike Clarke: Delightful and witty crime story , the second featuring ex-con Monty Haaviko of Canada. All he wants to do is go straight, but situations keep returning him to his criminal past and the skills he learned in fighting, breaking and entering, smuggling, etc. Monty is quick-thinking, street smart, and a smart aleck. His observations and comments are amusing, as is his insights into criminal methods. It's a shame that this may be the last book we see of this character. The author passed away in late 2011.
