Preface to the 2007 publication In its rough draft form, the original Xodus project was written in a matter of about four weeks. Preface Today's TV news reports are filled with scenes of African American males as criminals: arms handcuffed behind their backs, faces pushed down on top of cars or against walls, held under the power of an officer of the law.
