- Rosie Black: The main protagonist and adventurous Banker girl, lives in an apartment with her Dad. An excellent pilot, top of her class. Best and only friend is Juli. Rosie has long hair with a fringe.
- Juli Shen: Rosies best and only friend. Is a 'Central' and has a wealthy family.
- Adam Black: Rosies Dad. Very protective of Rosie, and quite depressed/out of it since her mother has died. Is taken by Helios.
- Pip: A very attractive feral boy who works for Riley, is tan with dark hair and very blue eyes. Pip is street smart. Also called 'Pipsqueak' by Essie.
- Essie Black: Aka 'Aunt Essie' Rosies Aunt, a pilot that works for Orbitcorp. Rosie's only relative other than her father, pays for Rosie's schooling.
- Riley 'Boss': Pips mysterious Boss. In his mid-thirties and good with technology, can shoot a gun and not afraid of risks.

- Nerita: A Pilot.
