  • The Governer's Girl: A firehorse injured in a fire.
  • James Selby: He is Rachel's older brother. He works at the nearby fire station and helps Rachel with the Governor's girl.
  • Mr. Stead: He is a veterinary who helps with most of the horses around the area.
  • Mr. Selby: He is Rachel's father. He thinks that men are the only people able to do work. He constantly controls what everyone in the household does, but he is proven wrong by Rachel.
