• Brynna "Astarte" Malak: Once one of Lucifer's highest ranking Demon's and a Fallen Angel. Astarte had a change of heart and is seeking redemption (re-entry into heaven) after centuries of seducing men and women into giving up their souls.
• Eran: A Chicago police detective. When he met Brynna he arrested her but soon came to believe her claims that she was a fallen angel. He now lives with her as a roommate along with his grate dane Grunt.
• Georgina Whitfield: A young woman who lives in a nice area of Chicago and works in a high end suit store for men. Georgina is a very private person who does not share the details of her life with anyone. Including, at times, her husband.
• Casey Anlon: A nephilim living in the Chicago area.
• Glenn Klinger: An average blue color worker in a Chicago plant. He was married for a long time but his wife has recently left him for another man who works in Klinger's plant who makes more money.
• Charlie Hogue: Charlie lives in Ohio with his wife of 20 years and two children. He was adopted and recently just started seeking out his birth family.
• Miss Anthony: A fairly attractive middle aged woman who works with mentally disabled children.
• Bheru: A Chicago police detective and Eran's partner. Bheru is of Indian (from India) descent and has a more open mind then most.
• Jack Gaynor: A Chicago resident. Jack has made mistakes in his life, including marrying for the wrong reasons and having a child he never sees. He is a strong man who enjoys working on his body but he also has a temper and takes it out on his family.
• Brenda: Charlies wife. She is an average looking woman but very kind and patient.
• Tate Wernick: An angry young man who has strong and radical political views. He lives in a neighborhood which is currently on the verge of being taken over for airport expansion.
• Lahash: A strong "searcher" demon who recently concocted a scheme that has scored him the name of several of Chicago nephilim's.
• Danielle Myers: A young woman of 19 years of age with FAS. She does not have a very caring home life and is very frustrated with the people around her.
