“Mira Rinaldi is a chef. She and her husband, Jake, are co-owners of a trendy trattoria in New York City known as Grappa. Her life revolves around three things; her daughter, her husband and cooking at Grappa. When she finds Jake fooling around with a new employee her life spirals down into a world of hurt, anger, and loss. Following the loss of Grappa, Mira takes her daughter and returns home to Pittsburgh to begin the slow and painful process of rebuilding and redefining her life. This is the type of novel I enjoy, filled with characters I grew to like and would enjoy knowing in real life, sharing wine and talk of food.”
