  • George: One of the main characters, George moves from ranch to ranch for work with his friend Lennie. Of the two of them, he is the smaller but also the more intellectual, and the leader. He is generally good-natured but sometimes gets angry.
  • Lennie: He is George's friend and work companion. He has a slow mind that makes him a child in a giant's body and unable to cope if George were to leave him.
