  “New York city’s Bernie Rhodenbarr, burglar extraordinaire and bookseller ordinaire, is spending the weekend in the New England countryside at Cuttleford House. After his intended, Lettice, drops a bombshell about marrying someone else, Bernie takes along good friend Carolyn and his cat, Raffles. In typical ‘English country house weekend style’, along comes murder, a snowstorm, a missing first edition Raymond Chandler book, and the whole whodunit mystery.
