“This book is about a town of people who live in a dystopian society and live under rules a conditions that are indescribable. They live in a community and they dont know theres another world outside of them that are normal. It is like the book Horton hears a who.”

When he goes to training he learns that the people in his community don't know any of the things he learns. He then tries to help the community. I liked The Giver. It kind of confused me sometimes. The thing I didn't like was the ending. I wanted to know what happened.”

But when he receives the assignment of receiver, he sees the other side of there community which is a terrible side. Jonas try's to escape this terrible place when the ending turns and you decide what happens.”

I really enjoyed the way the book flowed between Dystopia and Utopia. It was a horrible ending and it really disappointed me the way it left me hanging. I would definently recommend this to a friend if they are getting into this genre. ”

It is about a boy named Jonas who lives in a utopian community. But, is it more of a dystopia? When Jonas was assigned to become 'The Receiver Of Memory' he is assigned to hear about the past and memories given by the Receiver of Memory that came before Jonas. Once he finds out the truth about the community, they think of a plan to escape that community and live into the place far away. It was a very good book, but they left you with a cliffhanger at the end which gets readers' attention. I wouldn't mind reading it again in my spare time.”

I wish it had gone a little farther at the end, so we didn't keep guessing. It really isn't my kind of book.”

It wasn't the best because it leaves you hanging at the end. Some parts to me don't make sense and I wish there was another book to this so that you could find out what happened. Besides that though it was a good book about the dystopia Jonas found out he was living in. He found out because he was chosen to become the new Receiver of Memory which is basically getting all the memories of the past and present. Any ways he thought he was living a great life then he learns about color and christmas and hills and all the stuff that the world used to have. At the end he has to make a big decision about to stay or go. I would recomend this to people who like science fiction fantasies.”

It has both ways because their are things that are wrong but yet right at the same time.”
