This book is way too weird for me. Totally bizarre and there's not rhyme or reason to anything--totally pointless.

I am reading this in a book group with 8 year old girls. Pippi is such a strong female role model -independent, free thinker, fun spirit - we have had some interesting experiences.

Couldn't agree more. Pippi is my heroine, she is such an anarchist feminist little red-haired girl!

I loved this story both as book and on tv as a child. It is a shame that it is not so popular any more. I think kids could learn from it.... like for instance, how to use your imagination.
