• Megan Flynn: Works as a court-appointed advocate. She had been in love with Detective Cole Williams until he arrested her brother and refused to help or even talk to her during Sean's trial. She is absolutely convinced of her brother's innocence and has never given hope that he will be released.
• Cole Williams: Homicide Detective with the Seattle Police Department. Was the detective who arrested Sean Flynn. He had been in a romantic relationship with Megan Flynn at the time.
• Sean Flynn: Former Army Ranger. Sentenced to Death for the murder and rape of Evangeline Gordon. Practically raised his younger sister, Megan, after the death of their parents.
• Evangeline Gordon: A woman Sean Flynn met at a nightclub in Seattle called Club One. She was brutally murdered in Sean's house soon after they met.
• Devany Sinclair: Devany's mother is a meth-addict and her father is not around. She has bounced between her mother's "care" and the foster system for a number of years. She currently living with her aunt Kathy and Megan is her court-appointed advocate.
• Jimmy Caparulo: A former Army Ranger and long time friend of Sean Flynn. Jimmy has had a difficult time since leaving the Army. He was a bouncer at Club One when Sean was convicted of Evangeline's death. It was Jimmy who had convinced Sean to come to the club in the first place.
• Olivia Petersen: A Homicide Detective with the Seattle Police Department. Currently partners with Detective Cole Williams. Olivia is happily married and she and her partner are expecting a child. Olivia had previously worked Vice and is very good at reading whether people are lying.
• Talia Vega: Currently the beverage manager at Club One. Talia had testified against Sean during his trial. She claimed that he had been "practically stalking" Evangeline before her murder.
• Jack Brooks: A former Army Ranger. He currently works as the security manager for Club One.
• Nate Brewster: A former Army Ranger who had been in the same unit as Sean and Jimmy. Currently works with Computers for a large company.
• Bianca Delagrossa: The must recent victim of the Seattle Slasher.
• Krista Slater: Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Seattle DA. Krista was the one who went after the death penalty in the Sean Flynn case with such dedication. She is a dedicated Attorney who is more interested in justice than politics.
• Nick Jorgensen: Cole's partner when Sean was arrested.
• Mark Pineta: Medical examiner
