Her voice is so strong in this novel, you feel like you know her five pages in. I struggled between respecting her strong will and feeling repulsed by her drug habit throughout the novel, but I always wanted her to succeed in the end. I love how she actually called up people from highschool and interviewed them; the reactions were so raw. You can't make this stuff up. 5 stars.”

I asked her to let me read it when she was done. I am so glad I did. It was a great book.... I read it fast, and had some laughs. But it was very thought-provoking and gave me insight into drug abuse. It's not a "Go Ask Alice" type book... but it was interesting.”

Not the best, but really real and easy to relate to for someone in their mid-to late twenties. It was like a look into the time as well as the everyday problems we all go through and the crazy stories you hear about friends or what happen to who over the years. I love the timelines on the inside of the front and back cover.”

Lesley Arfin definitely is not. It's not only the pre-teen, teen, and junkie Lesley Arfin of the diary entries that I found mean, but the 27-year-old Lesley Arfin who interviews her former friends, "frienemies", and family and offers adult/sober insight on her former self. I kept thinking to myself, "yeah, I'd probably write Barfin Arfin on a bathroom stall too." And that's a terrible thing to think; I'm really a nice girl--I swear!”
