This is a continuation of Johansen's previous book, Blind Alley. When I finished Blind Alley, I was relieved the hunt for Cira's gold was over. In this book we are hunting for it again, going up against international terrorists who want the gold too. I was so BORED with this story. At least the last 100 pages were somewhat interesting. And, I'm sorry to say, we still haven't found the treasure. I hope this plot isn't revisited in the next book or I may have to just give up on this series. My rating: 2 Stars.”

“I didn't like this book because it gave no indication that it was a part of an already established series but it is in fact number 5 in a series. This is not a book that people can just jump into, there is too much backstory that was sort of explained or sort of glossed over, which bothered me because I did like the premise. ”

“Iris Johansen is one of my favorite novelists so I was excited to begin reading this Eve Duncan installment on my Kindle. I was impressed with the plot and even the surprises along the way. Can't wait to begin reading the next book in the series.”

“I love Eve Duncan. I could do with out the ridiculous tension between Jane and Trevor but passed that it's good.”
