“3.5 stars. This is a good first mystery and one that has a librarian as a central character. Lindsey and her best friend Beth work at the Briar Creek Library. When Beth's boyfriend, Rick, is found dead, the chief in town assumes that she has done it. Lindsey will do anything to help prove that Beth did not do it. I liked the main characters and I think this series will get better with time because the characters will have time to develop. I liked the atmosphere that McKinlay created and I think the town is quite charming. Will read more.”
