“This book is deeply affecting, so I find it difficult to describe. In my opinion, from a Biblical allegory standpoint, it should be right up there with the Narnia series or Lord of the Rings. The story is thoroughly captivating, centered on the themes of honor, passion and sacrificial love. It is at parts extremely dark and graphic, almost to the point of making me uncomfortable, but there is purpose and meaning in the darkness.
As with many Ted Dekker books, this one will likely be polarizing. Either readers will love or hate it. I loved it.”
