“I would have to say that I enjoy the earlier Pendergast novels more, but this was fast-paced and had some good moments, so I approve. This was also a set-up for the last book in the Helen trilogy, so it really couldn't give too much away. Recommended, but only if you've already read Fever Dream. I really thnk that the Pendergast novels do so much better when they are set primarily in NYC and include all of the main characters from previous novels, they just seem so much better that way.”
