“Warcry continues the story of the trilogy (Warprize, Warlord, Warsworn) but differs in point of view. The first three were told first person by Lara, the Warprize. This one is told third person, with a focus on the romance between Atira and Heath, both minor characters introduced earlier. Warcry isn't as good at any level; it serves only to set the stage for at least one more book, probably two, in which Kier will regain the status of Warlord and then become Warking. ”
