A primer designed to clarify the grantseeking process and to help grantseekers utilize information resources in locating appropriate funders. The first three chapters provide a context for understanding foundation giving. The remaining chapters and appendices introduce the grantseeker to the resources of the Foundation Center, and outline a number of research strategies designed to help grantseekers develop a list of potential funders. A new chapter discusses resources for individual grantseekers. Appendices include bibliographic references, a list of state charities registration offices, a glossary of type of support terms, and other resources.
