“Another in a series of books highlighting specific vowel sounds. This one is long /i/. There's a nice message about overcoming shyness, but in order to do so, the main character lets an adult take him to a restaurant and buy him pie. It's never explained that they already knew each other so that's kind of stranger-dangery. I'm probably over-thinking that because its a good series of books for what it's trying to do.”
