“I liked this book in general-the setting, the characters, the plot, the entire thing. The characters gave me a realistic, connectable feeling, like the things they were going through, both Ted and Erica's problems, were what actually happens to people in everyday life. Okay, maybe it isn't common for people to offer to pay for your college tuition after you've had a major accident that made you lose your scholarship to an ivy league school so that you can spy on their daughter who has bulimia, but real in the sense that their feelings and the way they react to them connect with the audience. We first encounter the sheer reality of this story when Ted goes to AA, alcoholics anonymous, and it follows right up to when Erica shows up on Ted's front door, and tells him to choose a place, any place, where they could go. I like the stories twists and turns, how eventually, you can see signs of Ted falling for Erica, and Erica falling for Ted. You also see how scheming and manipulative some people can be, and you also get exposed to the modern problems of society.
Overall, this was a very twisted and complicated book, in many aspects, with the emails from Charles, Michael, and Ted also helping to narrate the book, as well as Erica and her psychologists chats from their online chess games.
I would recommend this book to people who like somewhat of dark stories, with a bit of reality yet a bit of a surreal feeling from it.”
“This story was very deep.”

"Love Sick" is about a guy named Ted York, who is a high school graduate that had a full ride scholarship to play basketball. But Ted has a problem, he's an alcoholic. Ted was in a drunk driving accident, which he drove into a tree. The car accident damaged his knee and his scholarship was taken away from him. Now he has to work and attend AA meetings. But a man named Michael, comes to his house and offers to pay for his college if he would look out for a rich girl named Erica. Erica has bulimia and her father is willing to pay someone to look after her, while she is at college. Ted accepts the offer to watch after Erica. But eventually, Ted and Erica fall in love and he feels obligated to tell her about her father. Once he tells her, Erica leaves college without telling anyone where she is headed. She ends up going to a rehabilitaion facility for people with bulimia. After she returns home, Ted and her reunite.
This book was so interesting and unique. It was so detailed and written with such creativity. It takes place from August to November, and the story is told from so many people's perspective. Through emails, yahoo chats, and actual dialogue. This book kept me interested the whole entire time. I loved it. ”

You start by meeting Ted, and soon fall in love with his character, while he falls in love with Erica. Ted is was in a DD accident and soon decides to take a man up on an offer. He decides to go to college, which is paid for, but he must watch over this mans daughter, Erica who is bulimic. Ted goes along with it and soon falls in love with Erica. The ending to this story is surprising and unexpected. A great read for sure! This would be a book to read with students that are more mature and curious about different parts of life etc.
