“I read book one, admittedly, as a "you said you'd review the series, so you need to start the books" thing. And this book has some pacing issues, & plotting issues not uncommon to a lot of new authors. However...uncommon to most new authors is Cooper's ability to create characters you simply don't want to leave when the last page is turned. I eagerly read the rest of the series, & am very happy to say that the next book will be out in the fall of 2012. Further, on a technical level, each book in the series is noticeably better; the writing, itself, not just the stories. I really can't wait to see what she does, next, even though she's raised the bar on herself rather high, at this point. But that's what the really good authors do.”
