Carrie is just a normal girl, but she has these things called tics that come along with her tourtte syndrome. Tics are things as simple as tapping her finger on the desk, to consatantly cracking her neck. So this book is mainly just telling how carrie gets through shcool and everything else, without being scared someone will make fun of her that day.
I really like this book because it tells how a person with tourette gets through life on a regular day basis. I would recomind this book to anyone becasue it really makes you look back on your own life, and think of what you have and what you dont have. This book is also a good book to read because it makes you really thankful for what you have.

Your best friend is obsessed with catching every disease and your hopes of finding a "normal" friends seems impossible, until Rebecca moves in. Things begin to change in more ways than one and Tourette's is the least of the problems.”

This hardcover novel is filled from page to page about 12 year old Carrie, who suffers from Tourette Syndrome. During the novel the young girl goes through ups and downs, make-ups and break-ups. The author uses an interesting way of writing because she takes place as this adolescent and can really relate to the readers, because we all have problems of our own. Marcia Byalick gives you a different view on things when it comes to being in another persons shoes. The writing in this book expreses how Carrie realizes that even thought your life maybe bad, there can always be worse.”
