  • Courtney McSweeney: The main female character, and Jordan's ex-girlfriend at the time that this book takes place. She is struggling to get over Jordan for breaking up with her. It's obvious she's still in love with him, however Courtney wants to prove to him she can survive without him...or pretend to anyways.
  • Jordan Richman: The main male character, and Courtney's ex-boyfriend at the time that this book takes place. After braking up with Courtney, he explained he was dumping her for a girl he met on myspace. Before they started dating, Jordan typically went for the cheerleader type of girl...an easy land but not girlfriend material.
  • B. J. Cartwright: Best friend of Jordan Richman
  • Jocelyn: Courtney's best friend
  • Lloyd: One of Courtney's friends, that she's had a crush on for a few years before her and Jordan started talking.
  • Frank Brewster: Courtney's dad
  • Adam Richman: Jordan Richman's brother. Goes to Middleton.
  • Madison Allesio: Random girl, classmate of Jordan, BJ, Jocelyn, Courtney and Lloyd. She is a cheerleader. She's also the girl Jordan intends to leave with after the party until she gets jealous of Courtney for flirting with Jordan and leaves without him.
  • Ricardo: Jordan's roomate at BU.
