“Immortal” is the story of a small town girl who finds herself falling for her intriguing new neighbor who magically sweeps her away from reality from the moment she lays eyes on him. She never bothers to question why he is only seen after dark, why his body is so cold, or any of the other peculiar qualities he possesses. In Madeline’s world, everything appears to be safe; that is until the bodies start piling up.
Leo’s love for Madeline grows intense and unwavering, but he has a secret he hasn’t told her; he is a vampire. His former comrade, Niklas, has no problem sharing their dirty little secret with the girl though. The fact is, he could’ve easily taken her for himself had Leo not poisoned his friend to keep him away from the innocent young lady. After Niklas starts murdering half of the town, Leo demands he leave and never return again. The betrayal cuts deep and enrages the vampire to the point of thirsting for revenge.
A few steamy interludes later, and Madeline ends up pregnant; a surprise that is beyond anything any of them would have ever expected. Niklas learns of her special new circumstances and realizes that her child holds the key to all of the power he desires. He begins to stalk the soon to be mother, waits for his chance to attack.
She gives birth to a special baby girl, and all seems safe and sound once again. That is, until Niklas sees his chance to exact his revenge. Madeline is left for dead under the copper streetlamps of her beloved cul-de-sac, but Leo can’t allow her death. He replaces her blood with his, transforms her; now she’s forced to live his life, to be what he is.
The arrival of Annette Clarington, an agent from a secret society that is employed to protect vampires, means the family has to flee. Niklas has put his plans into action. We ride as co-passengers with the vampires and their child as they run for their life. They flee in the night, intent on making it safely to a foreign land where they plan to dispose of the beast once and for all, but Madeline has a hard time leaving her old life behind. She calls for her dearest friend, Molly the witch.
Apollo, The Society’s pilot, is sent to bring the mystic back; but a near death experience and an impending storm keep them from joining the family as quickly as they needed. There was so much blood, too much for the young vampire to resist. His will was strong, he tried to fight it. He just had to have one little taste.
All parties finally arrive in France, everything looks promising, but Niklas was smarter and faster than anyone gave him credit for. A few more bodies later, and he’s ready to deliver his former friend to death’s arms, but Madeline has a different plan.
