After Nora is taken from Patch by Hank Millar for three months, she's returned home well, close to home, in a cemetery with only a single black feather as a clue. She remembers nothing of the past five months. On her way home from an embarrassing dinner with her mother and Hank, she runs into some fallen angels trying to get a Nephilim to swear fealty. Jev shows up to save her. Scott makes a return and they begin to look further into Hank's life. Patch and Nora become very close as Patch continues to protect her.
