- The Source: The source of wisdom, knowledge, and sustenance. She is the bonded wife of one of the fallen whom can feed blood to any of the unbonded without them becoming sick, and must feed them occasionally to keep them from becoming weak to to heal them.
- Fallen: A group of angels that gave into human temptations such as love and were banished from heaven and cursed by God to remain on earth and who must drink the blood of the source or their bonded-mates in order to survive, calling themselves blood-eaters.
