Dan McIvoy is an ex-Irish military turned doorman working at a cheap casino called Slotz in Cloisters, NJ. When he goes to see his friend and unlicensed doctor Zeb about his hair plugs, he finds a mobster waiting for him. He kills the mobster and hides the body. That night at work the hostess he has a crush on is found dead out back. His apartment, meanwhile, has been ransacked.

He calls the cops to put them on the trail of a customer who threatened the dead hostess the night before. He follows the cops who are following the suspect. While on the stakeout, one of the cops is about to kill the other when he snipes the dirty cop from a distance, and the junior partner empties her clip into her. He goes back home, but the but the cop follows him realizing he is the only person who could have done that.

They join forces to track down the lawyer and end up getting all the lawyers buddies killed by Irish Mike, the big mobster in Cloisters. Dan is captured and forced to go get some drugs for the lawyer (which is what the dirty cop was involved in). He succeeds but ends up having to fight Irish Mike and his boys. He wins there again and saves his doctor friend Zeb.

He plays a game of poker and wins the club Slotz from its dirty owner. Back at Slotz, he realizes that the hostess was killed by another hostess. He calls the cops but she escapes. The end.
