Years ago, I was assigned this book in one of my university classes. I number it in my most memorable and personally influential works that I have ever read. At the time, I had just begun to study archaeology and had very little understanding of the concept of ethnocentricism. My personal way of thinking was very black and white. Hi Rick, interesting application. I wonder if these applications are changing the nature of work as another friend sent me a subscription to 'facebook' and all of this group networking - wonder where it will lead. Interesting developments. I was interested in Eliade in Manitoba and actually just thought about "Bataille" another philosopher of the sacred and profane. Notieced the other books on Jung you have here and remember enjoying also reading through some of the symbology volumes at "U of Winnipeg" library. Also, loved his dreams and symbols laymans book - remember reading this while I was a park worker at "Buns Creek" and the Summer rains poured down so no grass cutting was possible" - Memory engrams released by social networks (wonder if this release mechanism) is any different from other 'reality' metonymous connections! Rain pouring down. Reading Jung. Functions of memory and neural connections.
