In About Time Already Jenny Masters suddenly has to dredge up horribly painful childhood memories when she must finally return to her very small childhood hometown, where she hadn’t expected to find that she would not only totally enjoy her stay but also be threatened and accused of blackmail and murder.

About Time Already features Max and Michelle, two old friends with a lot of history and plenty of chemistry. Michelle is good with people. Max analyzes facts. Together Max and Michelle are shameless flirts and also sometimes help solve murders. They volunteered to help their friend Jenny Masters, a lonely but successful young woman, when she learned that she must return to her very small hometown of New Attica, Illinois.

Twenty-six-year-old Jenny had intentionally stayed away from New Attica for nine years and hoped she would never have to return. She blamed the prominent Roberts family for ruining her life. Jenny, however, had not been aware that the Roberts believed she was blackmailing them. She also did not know that the whole town had associated her with Elizabeth Warner’s disappearance. Jenny returned to help her mother who had been injured in a car accident. She hoped she could quietly spend a few days with her mother without being noticed.

The usually sleepy town of New Attica woke up and “all hell broke loose” after Jenny returned. Initially, Doc and Sarah Roberts told her she needed to leave town; Dr. Samuel, Michael Roberts, and Steven Roberts were all vying for her attention; and the very friendly local gossips Ashley and Heather were curiously watching and discussing her every move. Jenny was being threatened. Someone desperately wanted her to leave town. On her second day back in New Attica, there was a murder and a disappearance and blackmail. Jenny was blamed.

Before Max and Michelle were able to help track down the guilty parties, Jenny had been abducted and the chase began. Things in small-town New Attica were forever changed that day, and the truth was finally told.
