“Really solid well-written space opera. Feels like a slightly more adult version of one of John Scalzi's novels. I love the infusion of noir and detective fiction as well, which fits seamlessly within the structure of the story. There was some slight lag in the story toward the end, but the action stays pretty compelling throughout to keep you reading. Looking forward to the sequels.”
